Thank you for writing one today. Opening Day is a holiday to all us fans, and the best way to celebrate the new is to remember, selective memories only, the old special seasons.

They are like an old friend (dearie) and everytime I read them I smile. The Sox one is special to everyone who lived the Impossible Dream. Who knew it would take 43 years to finally come true? So they let one slip today, Lester looked great and the ninth inning rally had me on my feet and cheering.

Please write more! We all need more smiles!

Thank you for introducing me to this idea. Sadly, it is 20 years too late for my beautiful Susan Bristol and Fair Isle sweaters and they would have been such a perfect, preppy little number. I have to take a closer look at all the Hilton Head consignment shops there may be one or two just waiting for me. I love the new site! Great new look - but still the same lovely Kalembardune.

Talk about service! I called Shirley to inquire about a beautiful lamp in the window of the shop, and she delivered it to my home herself! The perfect addition to brighten up a bland space. It was a "drive-by" purchase--I was stopped at a red light. This brings new meaning to window shopping. Thanks, Shirl!

From one of my favorite peeps:

So funny you are bringing this up!!! The other day while woking I said to a Recovery Room nurse "do you always hosey the first patient of the day?". Everyone starred at me and said WHAT??? Well long story short not one person (all RI people) had ever heard the expression and as usual looked at me as though I was crazy. One girl googled it and sure enough it came up as a Boston expression meaning to choose. I asked the next person I knew was from Boston area did she remember the expression ...She replied oh yes "I hosey the front seat" Felt much better after that. So I remember Red Rover send Shirley over...and Red Light Green Light. All so many fun memories. You are a master of keeping the old days alive. Thank you.

Nice site, Shirley. Looking for vintage 70s... peace signs, anything Woodstock-y. "I know you know!" Please let me know if you are harboring any of that kind of cool stuff. Peace baby!
